6.1.5. We ensure that all riders make it into a final of at least three riders. We do this by sometimes reducing the number of riders in an A-final.
6.1.6. If there is only 1 rider in a final then points are awarded automatically for 1st position in that final
6.1.7. Each rider can pick their gates for the Final:
6.1.7.1. The rider with the highest points from the Moto's picks first
6.1.7.2. A rider may only pick an empty gate
8. Promotion/Demotion
8.1. After each event
8.1.1. top riders in formula 2-5 get promoted to next level
8.1.2. bottom riders in formula 1-4 get demoted to next level down
The number of riders changing formula depends on the numbers in the group:
8.2.0 1-2 riders 1 rider promoted
8.2.1. 3-5 riders - 1 rider promoted and 1 rider demoted
8.2.2. 6-12 riders - 2 riders promoted, 2 riders demoted
8.2.3. over 12 riders - 3 riders promoted, 3 riders demoted
8.3. this new ranking is applied
8.3.1. the next time the rider races in the series
8.3.2. to the current series standings
8.4. Limitations
8.4.1. In order to ensure suitable separation between younger and older riders the following rules are applied.
8.4.1.1. All riders can only move 1 formula up or down from their default formula
8.4.1.2. All riders will be offered the option to ride one further formula up if they qualify to, but will not be forced to do so if they do not wish to.
8.4.1.3. Female riders will be offered to option to ride one further formula down, but will not be forced to do so if they do not wish to
8.4.1.4. All optional moves will be applied at the next event if the rider wishes to move, the correct box must be ticked on the registration form.
8.4.1.5. Optional moves can be refused by the race officials
If a rider is unable to complete the event for reasons outside of their control, at the discretion of the race officials they may retain their current formula.
